As the Deer


"As the deer pants for flowing streams, 
so pants my soul for you, O God."

 Psalm 42:1 ESV
[I do realize these are elk, not deer. It's the photo I had]

 This weekend I am including a Sunday short story, "Ellie's Roses" - a short short, under 500 words.

    One can imagine the deers chest rise and fall; there are times the heart beats fast in pursuit of that safety in His presence. Beautiful.

    I've seen this verse several times recently and love how each person has shared. Beautiful images. I live in a town called Elk Grove so the fact that you used a picture with elk made me smile. Blessings.
