The Seeds You Plant

We went to an outdoor seminar on composting today, sponsored by our county at the local park.

Pouring rain, kind of fun to get all soaked and stand around with other gardeners, all of us drenched and motivated to compost and help our gardens to flourish, the natural way, using the processes that have been around since creation. He didn't say it that way, of course.
This quote is in the April, Country Living Magazine.

"Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds that you plant."

                                                                           -Robert Louis Stevenson

  1. I've been reflecting on your post earlier in the week of putting down roots... and now this one:) You certainly are saying the things I need to hear! Although I am not an avid gardener, your words encourage me to think of my current living situation, which admittedly is not one that thrills me, as seeds I'm planting. Being kind, doing for one who cannot do for herself, being obedient to God's word - - - I'm looking at this as seed planting. And not so much of getting something in return, but rather a growing hope in the future, a growing joy. Thank you, Ma'm :)
