This year, we braved cupcakes again, with a quick, easy, creative decorating idea from the July Martha Stewart Living Magazine.
Simple directions: Frost cupcake with white cream cheese frosting. Using a tube of gel frosting, place a drop in the center, then one, two or three rows of concentric circles. Draw a toothpick from the center outward, forming a swirly line. Very easy. Fun and pretty.
Great idea! They're beautiful! Thanks for sharing - now all I need is a gluten free cupcake recipe without the sugar/sugar substitutes!

The cupcakes were "healthy" with honey, banana and applesauce...then we added the frosting. Oh well. We called them "somewhat healthy" cupcakes. Gluten free is challenging, and we haven't found any good frosting alternatives. These were for a special occasion, justified for that...The leftovers she took to her work so we wouldn't eat them all.
ReplyDeleteThose cupcakes look magnificent! And healthy to boot...now I'm hungry.
