"But He answered and said, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
But she came and began to bow down before Him, saying, "Lord, help me!"
And He answered and said, "It is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."
But she said, "Yes, Lord; but even the dogs feed on the crumbs which fall from their master's table."
Then Jesus answered and said to her, "O woman, your faith is great; be it done for you as you wish." And her daughter was healed at once."
Matthew 15:24-28
THE CRUMBS ARE ENOUGH

So thankful for crumbs.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the title, I knew where it was going. That woman was quite a wise mom and culturally aware of differences and what would work best. And our Lord jumped right into the response... and annoyed/shocked His disciples. Our blessing Lord blessed her.
ReplyDeleteTo see His power, even in the smallest things. This is my reminder, to myself, to have the faith, He is able.
ReplyDeleteThere are some things in my life that I see sadly as "not enough." I've accepted (sort-of) that what can't be cured must be endured. But I find myself, at times, carrying the gray cloud of the "not-enough-syndrome" over my head. As a Christian this isn't the way to live. Your post is timely. Thank you.
